What can I say…I was completely obsessed with making steamed buns/ Bao. Actually let me rephrase it. I was obsessed in getting the pleats on the bao. It had became my obsession ever since I watched that you tube video I posted few days ago. I finally manage to get some “pattern” showed up on the bao. My husband thought something had happened when I ran (as fast as ran can be) to him with my hands still pleating the bao and told him “Look, I got it..I got it” wow….what a moment! LOL!
I guess it’s just one of those days that I was “enlightened” by the Bao fairy. They probably decided “Let’s give this woman a break and let her pleat the bao right this time” LOL!
Well, I can’t say that I got it 100% “right”! and I guess there’s no right and wrong either. I was just pretty excited when I was able to get the patterns on the bao instead of just one big ball.
What I made here is Red Bean Paste Steamed Buns/ Tau Sah Bao.
I finally can put this case to rest, but that doesn’t mean I won’t be making anymore steamed buns. I will!
