Mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large mixing bowl and set aside
Pour 1 cup of milk in another mixing bowl, add in beaten egg and oil and stir to mix. Pour this into the flour mixture and stir to mix until you get a rather thick batter, but don't over stir it. A few lumps here and there is totally okay
Preheat a non-stick skillet on medium heat. Pour in about 1/4 cup of the batter and let it cook until it starts to bubble and golden brown on one side, about 1-2 minutes, then flip to the other side for another 1 minute or so and then transfer to a plate and cover with aluminum foil to keep warm while you cook the rest of the pancakes. If you want to do some shape, just drop the batter where you want it to be to or simply shape it how you like it with the help of the spatula . The batter is thick enough to do that
