1tspcayenne pepperor more to taste, I put more for that extra hint of heat
2Tbspof extra-virgin coconut oil or oil of your choice
1cupof water

Instructions
Make sure the potatoes are soaked in the water while you are preparing other things to prevent them from turning black. Place the meat in a large bowl and add in the turmeric powder and cumin. Let it marinate for at least one hour in the refrigerator
When ready to cook, preheat the oil in a large heavy-bottom pot. Add in the shallots and ginger and saute until really fragrant and the shallots are soft. Add in the meat and use the wooden spatula to break up any lumps on the meat and the color of the meat started to turn brown. Add in tomatoes, cayenne pepper, potatoes, and water. Bring to a boil and then lower to let it simmer for the next 30 minutes or so until the potatoes are tender. Have a taste and season with salt if needed
