30 November 2011
So today is the last day of November for year 2011 and I decided to write something. I think I say the same thing every year… Time Flies! Isn’t that true though? I’m always grateful for good health, my lovely little family, friends and everything else around me.
So a little update starting from the little person here at our house. Our little one (who is not so little anymore) just turned 1-year old two weeks ago. Yeah..I know, one year already!!! I think I am still fascinated by the fact that she is already one year old. Things are going great with her. Never stop moving (soon walking without support and before we know it, running), talking, getting into everything, and stealing our hearts. I don’t mind though. As she gets older, honestly speaking, I am busier. However, it continue to gets more and more fun. Her growing brain is like a sponge; absorbing everything around her. My mom often says “It’s easier to teach babies than to teach an adult something” I couldn’t agree more.
Marriage life ? Can’t be better. It’s going to be 2 years pretty soon. I told my hubby before how I wished we could go back to Hong Kong again (our honeymoon spot) and ate like there was no tomorrow. Honeymoon was fabulous and sweet. However, I feel that the marriage life after the honeymoon is getting better and better as time goes. I’m not talking about throwing sweet talks to each other (though we did that sometimes and laughed at ourselves ). It’s nice to know that my partner is my soul mate and mastermind. Thank you dear!
How about update from the kitchen side ? Well, what can I say…we still gotta eat everyday. The more I am doing this what to cook today blogging thing though, the more addicting it is. It started out like this “Geez…what SHOULD I cook today?” Now, I actually ask myself “What do I WANT to cook today?” Should and Want…oh yes…a huge difference. I know what I’m going to say here may sounds a big disgusting (but it’s not, I promise), I actually checking out cookbooks even when I’m busy doing my uhumm…morning business (if you know what I mean – It’s all in a sanitary manner is all I can say).
It’s true that the stove top is screaming (need to be scrubbed and thoroughly cleaned) , dirty dishes everyday, grease spots on the walls…well, things get lost in the pantry and fridge, oh well…you get the idea, it wasn’t a pretty scene. Some days I just wanted to scream “arrghhh…can’t you wash yourself?” (well, good concept, but no they can’t. At least not in year 2011). The funny thing about this though, I still addicted to eating, cooking and food photography (especially the food photography part). The nice part about what I’m doing here is that, I get to eat the food, take the photos and then…when I look at the photos, it’s like eating the food again. That’s a pretty good deal eh ? Maybe I need to attend a cooking-anonymous meeting or something (or not). Anyway, I have a strong feeling that this blog will be around for a while, so bear with me lol!!! I really enjoy doing this and hope anyone who visits this blog does too.
And to my two babes who make my life so much fun…. you guys ROCKS!
