I’ve warned you that there would be more ice cream recipe coming up 🙂 Because……….. we finally have an ice cream machine. Yay!! Hooray! Which means I need to exercise smarter too to keep up with the ice cream consumption lol! Nothing beats the feeling of having a home-made ice cream. I love store-bought ice creams too. It’s just that it’s nice to actually make it on your own 🙂 You can have your ice cream in 30 minutes or less.
It took me three attempts before I finally succeed with making ice cream with the machine. Not that making ice cream with a machine is difficult, doh! but because I didn’t have the inner bowl properly chilled as directed and the ice cream never solidify as it should. My heart sunk when I saw a smoothie instead of an ice cream, thinking…geez, why are you doing this to me? until it finally hit me that the bowl wasn’t cold enough.
So, happy campers we were when we have this strawberry ice cream. Sweet and tart at the same time. Almost like a sorbet, but it’s creamy!
EGGLESS STRAWBERRY ICE CREAM
- 1 3/4 cups fresh strawberry
- 3/4 cup confectioner's sugar
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- Juice of 1/2 small lemon
Puree the strawberries until smooth. Add the remaining ingredients to puree
Switch the ice cream maker on and pour the mixture into the machine and follow the direction on your ice cream machine manual on how long to mix the ice cream, usually in about 15-30 minutes, your ice cream will be ready
