About 1/3 cup mixture of fresh basil and mintshredded
2garlic cloves for making garlic flakes - thinly sliced
1Tbspof vegetable oil or oil from crisping the bacon
1Tbsptoasted sesame seeds
Banno soy sauce
Instructions
To make the garlic flakes, in a small skillet, put in about 1 Tbsp of vegetable oil or the oil dripping from crisping the bacon, when it's hot enough, add in the garlic flakes and lower the heat immediately. Cook until the garlic is crisp and golden brown but not burned
Drain the tofu and place on a serving plate with some paper towel loosely placed around it to absorb any excess liquid. Put in the refrigerator until ready to serve
Prepare the toppings by finely chopping the crispy bacon, walnuts, and scallion and mixing with the minced ginger
When ready to serve, take the tofu and from the refrigerator and remove the paper towel
Sprinkle the toppings on the tofu and then add the shredded basil and mint leaves, the garlic flakes, and the sesame seeds
Pour the banno soy sauce carefully around the sides of the tofu, trying not to put too much on top because the crunchy topping will get soggy
