4-5Tbsppotato starch or all-purpose flour - for coating
3-4Tbspsunflower or vegetable oil for frying
Katsuobushi - garnish
Instructions
Drain the tofu and cut into four pieces. Wipe off any excess water with paper towel
Season the tofu on both sides with salt and pepper and then spread with the grated or finely minced garlic
Peel and grate the ginger. Finely slice the scallions
Lightly coat the tofu pieces in the potato starch or all-purpose flour
Heat the oil in a medium to large pan. Place pieces of tofu in the oil and turn each side to make sure all are pan-fried until light golden brown. Place the tofu on serving plate
Serve immediately with the grated ginger, sliced scallions, and katsuobushi on top. Finish by dressing with banno soy sauce
