My hubby’s colleague brought him some deer meat from his deer hunting. I have never eaten deer meat before. My mom said it is perfect for consuming deer meat during this confinement period. Deer meat is considered “heaty” and again, all the food in confinement recipes are tailored to restore the heat that is believed lost during child birth. For this recipe, my mom added ginger and sesame oil. We really enjoy the deer meat, and believe me, it’s a good change from having to eat chicken most of the time.
