I love cooking with slow cooker/crock pot. I mean..why wouldn’t I ? The crock pot does the work 🙂 and you wake up with a dish ready for you. What is not to love about that ! When I made this crock pot pork ribs, the next morning, my father-in-law said “something is smelling really good”. And guess what…they taste REALLY good too!!! The kids love them too. This is definitely a keeper!!
CROCK POT PORK RIBS
Ingredients
- 2 ½ - 3 lbs of pork ribs cut into individual rib and trim off excess fat
- 1- inch knob of fresh ginger peeled
- 1 large onion peeled and halved
- 5 cloves of garlic discard the extra papery skin but leave the whole garlic intact with its skin
- Salt to taste
Sauce:
- ½ cup of soy sauce
- 1 Tbsp of cooking oil
- 3 Tbsp of Worcestershire sauce
Instructions
- Mix the ingredients for sauce together and pour it over the pork ribs and make sure they are coated with the sauce. Place them in the slow cooker along with the ginger, onions, and garlic. Let it cook for about 8 hours on the low setting. The meat should be really tender and flavorful. Have a taste and season with salt if needed. Discard the ginger, onion and garlic before serving. Serve the ribs with its sauce
Marv's Recipe Notes
You can even make this dish more complete by adding some potatoes and carrots. Cut them into big chunks and add them after 2 hours of cooking the pork ribs

Hi Mavellina,
Can I double this and pressure cook ribs in instant pot instead? How would I adjust the cook time and amount of sauce? If I can’t pressure cook, I can use the slow cooker option on my IP instead then? Would I need to adjust the amount sauce if doubling the ribs? Thank you.
Hi Grace, this is my super old recipe that I need to update. If I can recommend you to look at this recipe: https://whattocooktoday.com/sweet-vinegar-pork-ribs.html
