This delicious beef stir-fry in sa-tsa bbq sauce was something I learned how to make back in college eons ago. My Taiwanese friend actually introduced the sa-tsa bbq sauce (or what she called Taiwanese bbq sauce) to me. Honestly, I didn’t like it as much initially. But, the more I ate it, the more it kinda grow on me. Using it to stir-fry meat, especially beef is really delicious. My daughter digs this too! Super easy and goes very well with a bowl of plain steamed rice you guys 🙂
BEEF STIR-FRY IN SA-TSA BBQ SAUCE
Ingredients
- 1 lb beef loin (thinly sliced)
- 1 onion (cut into large square)
- 1 Tbsp of cooking wine
- 2 Tbsp of soy sauce
- 1 Tbsp of corn starch
- Grape seeds oil or oil of your choice for cooking
Sauce:
- 4 Tbsp Sa-Tsa BBQ sauce (available at Asian grocery store)
- 3 Tbsp soy sauce
- 1 Tbsp sugar
Instructions
- Mix the thinly sliced beef with cooking wine, 2 Tbsp of soy sauce, and corn starch. Let it marinade for about 30 minutes
- When ready to cook, preheat the wok or skillet until really hot, add in about 2 Tbsp of oil and add in beef slices and stir-fry until they turn color but not overcooked yet. Remove from the wok and set aside. Add in about 2 Tbsp of oil. Stir-fry the onion until really fragrant, about 2 minutes. Return the beef back into the wok and add in the sauce. Stir-fry for another 2 minutes or so. Transfer to serving plate and serve immediately
