I have wide varieties of fish recipes from steaming all the way to deep-frying and anything in between. I supposed it won’t hurt anyone if I add another winner in our household to this blog ? 😉
Sesame fish in mayonnaise dressing is pretty easy to make, I don’t think you can fail making this dish as long as you can follow instruction just like I do. I’m not a great cook, but if you give me clear instruction, I think I have 99.99% of success rate most of the time ;b
The fish in this recipe is coated with sesame seeds and then deep-fried and serve with fried pineapple and green peas along with the mayonnaise. Good is all I can say.
SESAME FISH IN MAYONNAISE DRESSING
Ingredients
- 1 lb about 450 g white fish fillet - It can be grouper, sea bass, cod fish, tilapia or cat fish
- 4 slices of canned pineapple juice discarded
- 2 Tbsp of frozen peas thawed
- some lettuce leaves for decoration
- 1 cup corn starch
- 1 Tbsp white sesame seeds
- 3 Tbsp mayonnaise
- some lemon juice
- Marinade
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 Tbsp egg white
- 1 tsp corn starch
Instructions
- Cut fish into an inch cubes. Add marinade and set aside for about 5 minutes
- Cut pineapple into small slices. Toast sesame seeds in a dry pan
- Coat fish with corn flour and deep-fry until golden brown. Remove and drain well. Scald pineapple and peas briefly in the oil
- Heat up the pan and turn off the heat. Put in mayonnaise and lemon juice and mix well. Add fish, pineapple and peas, and toss briefly with mayonnaise. Transfer to a serving dish and scatter over sesame seeds as final touch
